Why start with the narrowest route?

Wide routes usually have alternatives. A narrow route may depend on one clear cell or one obstacle state, so delaying it can make the entire board harder. Trace it backward before moving easy blocks.

How do temporary stoppers help?

A stopper can hold a block away from a shared lane while another color passes. Use one only when its future release is visible. Otherwise it can become a permanent corner trap.

What is the post-route check?

Confirm the next destination, the remaining staging area, and whether the stopper still has an exit. Treat the cleared lane as a new planning phase.
