When is a color group a real unit?

Treat same-color blocks as a group when they share one exit, one blocker, or one lane requirement. Clearing them together can reduce visual noise and reveal the next dependency. It is a planning unit, not a rule that every same-color block must be moved consecutively.

When should you split the group?

Split it if one block is needed as a stopper, if the door changes after each clear, or if the second block cannot reach the same exit yet. Protect the route before chasing a clean color-by-color solution.

How do you verify the order?

Use a checkpoint after the first group. If the next lane or door state differs from the source, use Wrong Level and compare the opening board again.
